HHB Non Rush Maps

Back in the great days of  HHB most of the members used to love playing michi.  It was the most favored game then and still is a great favorite of  HHB.  One of the original founders of HHB called meer was a great lover of the  long cut times and liked to be able to build a strong army before battle commenced.  He couldn't find a suitable map to do this on so he created his own. The HHB nonrush maps were were the result of his hard work and thinking.

What sets out the HHB michi maps from all others is the central dividing tree line. Because he used what we become to know as "meers special trees" this was a tree with a wood value of 125 and  meant that only by chopping with villagers or using trebuchets could you get through to the other side. These trees cannot be cut down with siege onagers.  He also made the first map with no resources so its a nothing map and means that  a long hard economy run is essential to to make the battle with a suitable size army. The resources map does have some limited resources. Both maps genertate vastly differing tree layouts.   All of them have the special non cut tree dividing the two sides.

Outposts are obligatory on this to allow you to see and hear your enemy  "trebbing" across the divide. A huge army normally awaits on each side as the ground is cleared for the ever impending battle that will be like no other. I can remember the first time I ever played this map. It was a winters evening and involved players such as HHB_CJsword,  HHB_meer1, HHB_Knight, HHB_Vosnetter, and of coarse myself.  It was the longest game I ever played on AoC lasting 5 hours and 36 mins on the game clock and very early into the next morning. I for one would say that if you like michi games for the good battles then you will love both of these maps..
