Thick jungle forest and sand. average stone and gold to mine with usual amount of  sheep.  No deer but heavy on boar with some wolfs lurking. the odd cliff will give you some defense.

Vast open map mostly all grass with a single lake (no fish) with shallows across it.  sand divides all  players no matter what team they belong to. almost zero trees on map. start with 2x TC,   4  scout cavalry,   6 vills,   and 4 monks.  small amounts of gold and stone.
Eye candy map somewhat like an Arabian  archipelago.  Fish galore and some wooded areas but not much. both stone and gold is low in amount.
Flat open grassland with small pockets of outlying trees. Turkeys, boars, and sheep but no wolfs or relics.  gold and stone is available in medium amounts.  Good trade map.
As it says clean and flay open grass land with usual hunting and foraging to be had.  medium resources in stone and gold  with no wolfs or relics.
As above with slightly more gold and stone to mine.
Typical michi map in all ways.
No sheep on this one but turkeys. rest in pretty much standard.
The usual stuff on michi maps.  Food is close by to the TCs to help hunting.
Flat terrain with average amounts of resources (all grouped)
A mix of water and land.  Each civ is walled in and starts with a dock and galley. Heaps of turkeys and fish to eat as well as roaming boar and deer. Look out for the jaguars.  Some nice looking sea towers and a bit of eye candy.  Looks an intresting map.
A cetral lake (loaded with fish)  with small islands surroundedby a not to wide belt of open land.  The perimater is all jungle not leaving too much room to play and build up. .  All civs start with a battering ram ( I have no idea why). roaming deer boar and jaguars.
Semi diagonal forest line. The usual medium resources and lots of flat ground.  No relics or wolfs.
A flat large land mass with surrounding waters that have rivers cutting into the land.  No food of any kind and no gold or stone. Trees are at a high premium as not many available. Very open map.
Just like the real thing. Cacti and sand with a few rocks.  There are deer sheep and boar to eat but gold and stone are low in quantity. A hand full of relics for your monks to grab.  Small amounts of trees and some wolfs hiding.
Sand and jungle.  start with numerous buildings including a castle. and a small army.  (Teutonic knights for all civs).  Some tcs start with boars close by.  Beware the packs of jaguars as you try to grab the many relics on show.
Grass and sand with a bit of water. small pockets of gold and stone but only berries to eat. Only about 10 trees for whole map so wood is a big problem.   Start with 2 monks and 2  Scout Cavalry.
A sort of black forest map with relics and small amounts of both gold and stone.  A couple of lakes with some fish to catch as well as roaming deer and some sheep.  A lot of eye candy makes looking at the mini map quite hard.
Similar to highlands map. A large river with crossing point. Reasonable amounts of all resources.
Form of Arabian type map with very bumpy terrain. Medium resources given and all start with a  small army.
